Tabernacle

I see a people moving, moving across my father's land
I see a people moving, moving across my father's land
Who is this mighty throng, encamped upon my father's land?

And what is this I see?
I see them led by a pillar of fire in the night!
And what is this I see?
I see it changed to a column of cloud in the light!
And when they camp, I see a tent within the midst of Israel,
Where the priests offer their sacrifices,
   Where the glory seems to dwell;

Could it be their God lives among them,
And they worship in that tabernacle?
I want to worship, see the God of Israel!
Laying down my idols, want to
Worship in that tabernacle, where
The sacrifices have been made for me
And God does dwell!

I sleep, and a vision comes into my dreams
A time in the future of this earth, it seems
Many different people worship, worship in a tabernacle...

And what is this I see?
The place of worship that I see
Is not a tent of cloth, wood and hide,
Or anything else that a man could see.
And what is this I see?
  It seems the dwelling place of God is within me;
God living within me, is this what I see?

I see the dwelling place of God among us all,
His Spirit lives within us, so it seems.
I see a Sacrifice, completed for us all, eternally
A perfect Son, the Lamb of God, I see!

Could it be that God lives within us,
And we worship in that tabernacle?
I want to worship, see the God of Israel!
Laying down my idols, want to
Worship in that tabernacle, where
The Sacrifice has been made for me
And God will dwell!

Raise it, raise it, raise the tabernacle,
Raise it, raise it, God will dwell!
Raise it, raise it, raise the tabernacle,
Raise it, raise it, God will dwell!
Raise it, raise it, raise the tabernacle,
Raise it, raise it, God will dwell!

Fashion it as your Lord commanded you, and
Raise it, raise it, God will dwell!
Furnish it as your Lord commanded you, and
Raise it, raise it, God will dwell!
Carry it as your Lord commanded you, and
Raise it, raise it, God will dwell!
Jesus, Jesus, is the Tabernacle,
Raise Him, raise Him, God will dwell!

I see the dwelling place of God among us all,
His Spirit lives within us, so it seems.
I see a Sacrifice, completed for us all, eternally
A perfect Son, the Lamb of God, I see!

Could it be our God lives within us, and we
Worship in this tabernacle,
I want to worship, see the God of Israel!
Laying down my idols, want to
Worship in this tabernacle, where
The Sacrifice has been made for me
And God does dwell!
