Me and the Lord

(Look at Me)

Me and the Lord went walking along,
He said, "Look at me.
I am the One who lights your path,
So you want to walk with me."

Me and the Lord went riding along,
He said, "Look at me.
For if you look at your hands on the bars,
You'll run off the road,
You've got to look ahead,
Keep looking down the road,
To where I'm wanting you to be."

(INSTRUMENTAL VERSE)

Me and the Lord went sailing along,
He said, "Look at me.
For if you look at the wind and the waves,
You might forget that I rule the sea."

Me and the Lord were praying alone,
He said, "Look at me.
My Holy Spirit helps you along,
When you're praying in the Spirit,
And you're looking at me,
You'll be praying to the Father,
And the Father will be hearing me."

(INSTRUMENTAL VERSE)
(REPEAT ALL ABOVE)

Me and the Lord keep rocking along,
He says, "Look at me.
For when you leave that rocking chair,
They'll lay you in the grave,
But you won't be there,
You'll be walking into Heaven,
And your Lord is gonna greet you there."
