I looked up, up to Heaven, and the Son of God saw me,
Looking up, up to Heaven, in faith and expectancy,
And He said, It's time to bless this one,
I know that he believes,

I looked sideways at my neighbor, and my neighbor spotted me,
Looking sideways through the window of my greed and jealousy,
And he said, With my religion, and with my philosophy,
And hard work and toil and labor, you can be like what you see.

I looked down, down in sadness, and the devil spotted me,
Looking down, down in sadness, and dejected misery,
And he said, It's time to take this one,
I don't think he believes,
That the Son of God will save him from his pain and misery.

So, I looked up, up to Jesus, and my Savior spotted me,

And He said, It's time to save this one,
I see that he believes,
'Cause he's lookin' for a Savior, seeing Me.
