“Speak Forgiveness” - New MP3 - done!

Much improved mp3.

The new “Speak Forgiveness” mp3 is posted here on the site and on Reverb Nation. I’ll get it on Bandizmo tonight.  I had forgotten I had an old mp3 of the song on the site.  This is MUCH improved.  I normally don’t play the song with a drum track - I’m too much of a free-floater when it comes to tempo, but I think it helps hold the song together, I kept the track demurely out of the way in the final mix, and it’s much easier to cut in patches and fixes with a consistent beat to cue to.  I LIKE the way it came out - sounds great on my studio monitors, but the vocals may be a bit strong on smaller computer speakers. Let me know how it sounds on your computer speakers or mp3 player, and what ya’ think of the song (brent(a)jbcmusic.com).

January 2001:  I was reading the book, “How Now Shall We Live?” by Chuck Colson and Nancy Pearcey (Tyndale House Publishers, Inc., Wheaton Illinois, 1999) and dozed off for awhile.  I woke up with the chorus to this song just there, complete, in my head, a gift from the Holy Spirit.  As I sat up and wrote down the words to the chorus, the idea came to me of expressing a short summary of what I had been reading in the first few chapters of the book for the verse. “Speak Forgiveness” is what the Lord put together - a simple statement of our relationship with Him.

Links:  Lyrics and Chord Sheet.  I’m pretty sure I have the sheet music (score and lead sheet) done, just need to check them over, get them submitted for copyright and posted.
